Who boos God? DNC delegates

by

Democrats at the DNC convention in Charlotte booed when God and Israel were put back in the party platform. They clearly did not have the 2/3 majority they needed to do it, either. Shameful.

The booing was directed at the undemocratic process, not at God. As you well know. Pop quiz: How many times do the words “God,” “Jesus,” or “Creator” appear in the U.S. Constitution and its amendments?

It sounded like about 50% for and against. It is possible that where he was standing, it there was more saying they were for. It is obvious he was in doubt. I would have thought those opposed would have called division, to count the votes. I didn’t hear that.

Re: The Constitution. Religion is in the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence has the word God.

It may be obvious to some that Pres. Obama is violating the free exercise thereof part of this. He certainly has no problem doing things that congress should be doing. He seems to be picking on Catholics as of late. Who is next?

    Amendment I

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
