Chris Matthews has lost the tingle

Chris Matthews and the rest of MSNBC went into complete melt-down mode after last night’s debate.

“I don’t know what he was doing out there. He had his head down, he was enduring the debate rather than fighting it. Romney, on the other hand, came in with a campaign. He had a plan, he was going to dominate the time, he was going to be aggressive, he was going to push the moderator around, which he did effectively, he was going to relish the evening, enjoying it,” Matthews said.

“Here’s my question for Obama: I know he likes saying he doesn’t watch cable television but maybe he should start. Maybe he should start….Where was Obama tonight? He should watch — well, not just Hardball, Rachel, he should watch you, he should watch the Reverend Al [Sharpton], he should watch Lawrence. He would learn something about this debate. There’s a hot debate going on in this country. You know where it’s been held? Here on this network is where we’re having the debate,” Matthews said.

We have our knives out. We go after the people and the facts. What was he doing tonight? He went in there disarmed.”

(Doesn’t that sound like an outright admission that MSNBC is in the tank for Obama – but we knew that already right?)

Matthews continued: “He was like, ‘Oh an hour and half? I think I can get through this thing. And I don’t even look at this guy.’ Whereas Romney — I love the split-screen — staring at Obama, addressing him like prey. He did it just right. ‘I’m coming at an incumbent. I got to beat him. You’ve got to beat the champ and I’m going to beat him tonight.”

“What was Romney doing?” Matthews asked. “He was winning.”

The most hilarious? Matthews saying Obama doesn’t know his stuff – way below the level of a fifth-grader, apparently…. “Obama should watch MSNBC, my last point. He will learn something every night on this show and all these shows. This stuff we’re watching, it’s like first grade for most of us. We know all this stuff.”

Did we need an admission? I thought MSNBC was pretty much understood to be a wing of the DNC’s PR department…a more creative arm, to be sure, but still an arm.

  2. Tom Brand Says:

How does Chris Matthews still have a job on ANY network! This guy should have been fired long ago! Oh yeah, that’s right, There is still a contingency of whack left wing liberals that love him and subscribe to the garbage that comes out of MSNBC.

    ROTFLOL! Love it!

It sounds as if the above posters have a good understanding of Democrats opinions of Fox (Faux) News.

Regular watchers of MSNBC know exactly what Chris Matthews was referring to: How to aggressively respond to the lies told by Mitt Romney in his campaign. They do that very effectively in virtually every show giving reliable sources for their factual information. Many of Mitt Romneys lies can be exposed by playing previous footage of Mitt Romney himself saying the exact opposite.

If you don’t believe me, read the reports of independent fact checking organizations of Mitt Romney’s statements in the debate. President Obama was too much of a gentleman to call Governor Romney a liar to his face. Maybe he needs to be more truthful and assertive when responding to Romney’s snow job to the American public.

The day you ADMIT that MSNBC is biased is the day we will admit the same about Fox JB….but we all know YOU will never admit that fact….

MSNBC is biased toward the truth, which just happens to favor the views of those on the Left.

MSNBC is more closely aligned with the mainstream media than is FOX news. Of course conservatives malign these major national news providers by calling them the “Lame stream media”. Time and again the views of Fox News are clearly in the minority and Fox reports are regularly debunked by the rest of the media as containing false, skewed, unsubstantiated, and exaggerated information.

Those who live in the alternate universe we liberals are fond of calling “the bubble” who only see hear and believe what they are fed on a daily basis by Fox, Limbaugh, Hannity, and Drudge believe they are right and cling to the paranoid theory that the rest of the media is part of a great conspiracy to hide the truth.

A good parallel can be found in the conservative’s view of Climate Change. The vast majority of the science community and in fact the rest of the world accepts the fact that Global Warming is a real threat to civilization as we know it. The conservatives in the U.S. who are in the minority “know” that it is all a hoax, that they are right and the rest of the world is wrong, and that there is a great conspiracy to propogate this lie.

And you Cindy Whitehair know for a fact that Fox News is extremely biased toward the right, but you refuse to tell the truth unless someone plays a stupid game with you? Most of us adults left I’ll show you mine, if you show me yours” in fourth grade. At least Holly has guts enough to put her real picture at the top of her blog instead of a slim, svelte, sophisticated cartoon figure that bears no resemblence whatsoever to the woman hiding behind the name Lady Logic.
