Mia Love listed in The Hill’s Top 25 women to watch

by

Today, DC publication “The Hill” released their Top 25 women to watch and Mia Love is on the list.

“Few small-town mayors get the chance to speak at their party’s national convention — but Saratoga Springs, Utah, Mayor Mia Love (R) is no ordinary small-town mayor,” reads the lead-in.

She is “giving battle-hardened Rep. Jim Matheson (D-Utah) one of the toughest races of his career.”

The Hill notes that she has support in pretty high places. “Ann Romney, Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) and House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) have fundraised or stumped for her, and Reps. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.), Eric Cantor (R-Va.) and Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) have donated to her campaign.”

They didn’t even mention some of her other high-profile supporters – Condoleezza Rice, Cathy McMorris-Rogers (also on the list) – and who can forget the other Romney’s – Josh Romney is her campaign chair and GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney has openly endorsed her and even recorded ads on her behalf.

The Hill concludes:

Polls show a tight race between Love and Matheson. If she wins, she’ll be thrust into her party’s spotlight — but even if Matheson holds on, she’s unlikely to disappear from the political scene.

But she’s not gonna lose…..
