When the third person issues the insults, that’s just part of the campaign. However, when the candidate does it, you are looking at counter punching from someone that has taken a hit. In Pres. Obama’s case, he’s not only making cheap, snide comments, but he has actually told some lies that are easy to prove. Some of them have been about stuff he said that is actually on tape. When that happens, the next thing that comes to mind is Loser.

Repeating Mitt Romney’s inept comments in a campaign speech simply highlights how ill prepared the issuer of those comments is to be president of the United States. The fact that many of us find humor in those remarks helps to mask the underlying seriousness of this country making the mistake of electing a candidate who would recreate the failed policies of the Bush administration both foreign and domestic that got us into this mess in the first place.

President Obama told the Des Moines Register than his plan for the second term includes immigration reform, and the so-called “Grand Bargain” with Republicans to cut the social safety net for the middle class in order to make tax cuts for the rich permanent. I’m really hoping that Speaker Boehner follows through on his threat to never support the President on anything. Otherwise it’s tax cuts for the rich and austerity budget cuts for the rest of us.

Richard, just want to say thank you for being a respectful, decent commenter. Even though we disagree frequently on policy, you never stoop to flame-throwing and name-calling. I want you to know I appreciate it.

Name calling? You mean like “Mr-Apologizer-in-chief” Holly?

No, I mean like “bitchy”, thanks
