Joe Biden: The middle class has been buried in the last 4 years

October 2, 2012

Once again, Joe Biden inadvertently tells the truth. “This is deadly earnest. How they can justify, how they can justify, raising taxes on the middle class that has been buried in the last four years.”

He’s right – buried under debt. ($16T) Buried under falling incomes (down almost 10% since 2008). Buried under high unemployment. (23 million and counting)

Time for a change.

Obama’s biggest failure: the economy

September 24, 2012

The Romney campaign went after Obama on his biggest failure: the economy. After the President went on 60 Minutes and said that his “biggest disappointment” was that he had not changed the tone of Washington as much as he would have liked, Ryan Williams, Romney campaign spokesman, had this to say:

In recent weeks, President Obama has cited several failures as his greatest – not being a better storyteller, not reforming immigration, and now his inability to change the tone in Washington. But President Obama just doesn’t get it. With 23 million Americans struggling for work, anemic economic growth, and nearly 1 in 6 Americans living in poverty, his greatest failure – by far – is his broken promise to fix the economy. Americans know this is his greatest failure, and they will hold him accountable in November.

Failing to change Washington was just the latest in a string of admissions from Obama about his failures – not being a good enough storyteller was his “biggest mistake”, according to an interview he did with ABC in July.

Last week, Obama also said his “biggest failure” was not getting comprehensive immigration reform done – “so we’re gonna work on that”, he said to a Univision News forum.

How convenient that he leaves out the biggest failure of all – the ailing US economy.

Unlike Obama who wants to tell stories, Mitt Romney is focused on the millions of Americans who are struggling under Obamanomics. Twenty-three million Americans are unemployed, underemployed or have stopped looking for work. Unemployment has been above 8% for months, climbing yet again in 26 states last month. According to the Wall Street Journal, “the income of the typical U.S. family fell or was flat in almost every state last year, with the drop particularly steep in places where the economy has been hit hard by the housing bust,” and the poverty rate has remained at almost a two-decade high.

Speaking of the Obama “War on Women”, Romney has released this ad. $50,000 in debt from Day One, higher unemployment for women and more women in poverty in nearly a generation.
